Poetry rules! As in it’s the only thing I’m getting done. Because I’m committed to writing a poem a day this year (my Emily Dickinson ekphrastic project), I am writing every day. But I’m not making much progress on the third novel in my mystery series, I haven’t even started the play I’m writing this year for the 365 women a year project, and I’m lagging or flagging on my collaboration project.
None of this has stopped me from forming a new writing group for lesbian (and allies) poets. I’m also a member of another writing group, as well as two bookclubs. I have two book signings coming up, for which I’m trying to do a better job of learning about the other authors who will be there, and ordering everything I need for the signing table.
Oy! It feels as if all I do is read, write, and do housework (cleaning, laundry, cooking, animal care). Oh, and take a picture of the Steel Bridge every day.
